SNOWBOARD CARVING
EXTREMECARVING avec SEB HENRI
THE BOARD
As with all forms of snowboarding, the choice of board is essential. If you want to excel in Freestyle you take the best Freestyle board, if you want to Freeride you take the best Freeride board and if you want to go from Carving to ExtremeCarving you take the best ExtremeCarving board. The boards of the SWOARD brand are unquestionably the best boards for this practice, a brand which is also at the origin of this discipline and which is still far ahead of its competitors.

There are 2 styles of boards at SWOARD:
The alpine used in Hardboots with the GEN5 (Beginner / Medium and Expert level) and the PRO2 (Medium and Expert level).
Then there is the famous DUAL2 in Softboots, but which can also be used in Hardboots.
THE SHOES
Concerning the HARDBOOTS (Alpine and rigid boots):
We all have very different feet, you will surely find the Deeluxe 700 wide or the old Raichle soft. Personally I felt good with the Head Stratos Pro. In most cases, you will have to put a spring in the back to soften them. Again the SWOARD brand has released its own model, the EC12 and I must admit that since I have been wearing them, not only have I had no pain in my shins or feet, but they are also reactive right down to the tips of my toes. A real treat!!!
Regarding SOFTBOOTS (soft shoes):
Seen as I said above, we all have different feet, for my part I found my happiness at Salomon with the Malamuts
BINDINGS
In terms of bindings, in Alpine, I used the F2 Race Titanium but there too when Swoard released its own REDLINE bindings, the responsiveness and precision in the support make it the most efficient for ExtremeCarving by far.

In Softboots, I use the Flow NX2 RS, very responsive and very practical for me to teach... but again, Swoard in partnership with PHK have released the MIX with a revolutionary new spring system, the future...
GLOVES
Many people ask me what my gloves are made of, large EPDM mitts so that they don't tear after 2 outings and slip without snagging your arm which could hurt your joints. Soon news on how to get it...
CLOTHES
For the clothes, again they tore on abrasive snow, so I opted for EPDM on the areas that may be in contact with the ground. If you are interested, you need a good sewing machine and Kevlar thread...
PROTECTIONS
INDISPENSABLE

HELMET :
I would even say mandatory, a collision happens so quickly that you have to stay humble and protect yourself at all times.

THE INTEGRAL RIDGE:
If there is a collision, and you are in "ExtremeCarving, lying on the track" mode, the spatulas of the other machine can hit your back...

WRIST GUARDS:
For those with fragile wrists, this too is a must.

RECOMMENDED

COCCYX SHORTS:
Protecting the Coccyx and Quadriceps will always serve in case ...
THE KNEE PADS:
Recommended if you are waiting on your knees for friends or the crowd is passing by, your joint stays warm...
